Case Study - Tv Production Cornwall
Returning TV Series shot in Cornwall

We have recently enagaged with a TV production shoting in Cornwall and Devon.
The production company pride themselves in implementing new sustainability schemes on each returning series, and this time, they challenged us to provide them with a solution for one of their recurring set ups for 10 shoot days over a 6 week period.
We intsalled a system combining a Husshpod 45KW/90KWH Battery system combined with a Stage 5 40kva generator.
The early results have been very positive and we will publish full data for the total job after it concludes.
200 KG
Estimated CO2 emissions avoided per day
Based on replacing the site generator and camera truck generator and powering via the battery system. This could amount to over a ton of CO2 avoided a week!
£147
Estimated fuel savings per day
Minimal Diesel generator run time, and removing the petrol camera truck generator entriely, the equivalent fuel usage (based on prices on the day of reporting) to deliver the same amount of KWh amounts to a whopping estimated £147 a day. This helps recoup teh cost of the hire, and over time can be a considerable saving
2-3 Days
Battery run time
Based on this productions usage, we are able to run 2-3 shoot days, without requiring the generator to run. The hybird set up ensures the generator will start when the battery is too low, and switch off when it reaches sufficient charge. In just afew hours, the diesel has come on and switched itself off again, a fraction of the run time if it were being relied on for power all day every day (and sometimes overnight!).
